Tatu Autio is originally from Helsinki, Finland. His introduction to the mountains began in his early teens when he was first introduced to rock climbing. After spending many seasons climbing his way through Europe Tatu eventually advanced his skills and passion to winter mountaineering and skiing.  Since then he has accomplished numerous alpine ascents and ski descents in the big mountains of the European Alps. 

After 20 years of roaming the mountains of Europe the next logical move in Tatu's life was to become a Fully Certified IFMGA Mountain Guide, which he completed in 2018.  Tatu enjoys sharing his experience with people from all over the world and now guides professionally between the European Alps and the Lyngen Alps.
