About the Guides
All our Guides are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) or equivalent associations internationally recognized through the IFMGA. Their rigorous training in avalanche safety, navigation, risk management, and client care ensures your backcountry adventure is safe, personalized, and unforgettable.
When are the best conditions?
Whistler's coastal snowpack builds steadily from December through April, with the deepest and most consistent conditions typically arriving mid-season. Clear weather opens alpine objectives and glacier terrain, while storm cycles deliver the deep coastal snow Whistler is famous for.
The Terrain
The terrain surrounding Whistler is as diverse as it is dramatic. Steep alpine bowls, glaciated descents, old-growth forest glades, and playful pillow zones give guides endless options throughout the trip. Meet your guide and ski the Whistler backcountry
Whistler Backcountry
Meeting Time & Place: 8:00 AM at the Blackcomb Gondola.
Most guests are already settled into Whistler before the trip begins, making for an easy start to the day. On Day 1, we’ll meet to review the trip plan, objectives, current conditions, and avalanche safety before heading out for a full day of backcountry skiing in the lift accessible Whistler backcountry. After the tour, we’ll wrap up with some well-earned après.

Sea to Sky Gondola
Most people drive straight through Squamish without realizing how much incredible skiing exists here. Once they reach Whistler, they often end up caught in the crowds, lift lines, and busy village atmosphere. When conditions line up, we head south to explore some of the Coast Range’s true classics. Using the Sea to Sky Gondola to quickly access the alpine, we can spend the day skiing world-class tree runs, aesthetic couloirs, and impressive coastal terrain far from the resort chaos.

Duffey Lake
When temperatures rise or the clouds settle into the Coast Mountains, we often head north toward Duffey Lake. Sitting further inland, this region has a drier, more continental snowpack and often sees better weather and snow quality than the coast. Massive peaks, glaciated terrain, and iconic zones around the Joffre Group make the Duffey a completely different experience from Whistler, and one of the true gems of British Columbia backcountry skiing.
