69 Degrees North, Big Peaks and Shocking Views - Sea level to 1800m, fjords, icefields, no crowds and no lifts, the Lyngen Alps are waiting for you to discover them. These mountains offer exploration like no other mountain range in the world. Why? Well that's because you probably haven't heard of them, and if you have, you most likely don't know much about them.
To do this properly you need to be here and experience this special mountain range for at least a week with a local certified guide. Don't worry about being stuck on an island or having to drive 4 hours to manage the weather. From our central base in Lyngseidet we can access all corners of the Lyngen Alp peninsula easily and efficiently.
All our Guides are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) or equivalent associations internationally recognized through the IFMGA. Their rigorous training in avalanche safety, navigation, risk management, and client care ensures your backcountry adventure is safe, personalized, and unforgettable.
The terrain in the Lyngen Alps rises straight from Arctic fjords at sea level to glaciated peaks and icefields at 1800m. With no lifts and no crowds, every line is earned and every descent feels like an exploration. Centered out of Lyngseidet, guides can efficiently reach all corners of the peninsula, adapting to weather and conditions across one of the most dramatic and remote ski mountaineering ranges in the world.
We prefer the Lyngen Alps from March through May for the longer days and the extraordinary Arctic light. By late season you can ski alpenglow at 11pm, enjoying prime spring snow conditions under the midnight sun.
We have guides strategically based throughout Northern Norway, allowing us to meet you directly at the trailhead and adapt quickly to changing conditions. This gives us a major advantage when it comes to weather and snow quality, as conditions can vary dramatically across the region. While one area may be stormy, another could offer clear skies and excellent skiing just a few hours away.
