About the Guides
All our Guides are certified by the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (ACMG) or equivalent associations internationally recognized through the IFMGA. Their rigorous training in avalanche safety, navigation, risk management, and client care ensures your backcountry adventure is safe, personalized, and unforgettable.
The Terrain
The terrain at the Freshfield Icefield is centered around vast open glaciers, sweeping snowfields, and dramatic couloirs stretching in every direction. Reaching the best lines involves skinning, bootpacking, ridge walking, and the occasional scramble, rewarding those willing to earn their turns. From mellow glacier runs to steep technical descents, the variety of terrain allows guides to continually adapt objectives to match both the conditions and the goals of the group.
When are the best conditions?
We prefer the Freshfield Icefield in mid-March through April for the longer days and more stable conditions. Greater visibility and extended daylight open up bigger objectives across this vast and inspiring icefield.

Itinerary
Arrival Day
Day 1
MEETING TIME & PLACE IS 9AM at Golden Airport. We will be flying from there to the Icefield. All members of the team will have to sort out their own travel to Golden. Golden Airport is a small regional airport with limited services and flight options. Guests should plan accordingly and be prepared to arrange ground transportation to reach the meeting point. We recommend arriving one day early and finding accommodation in Golden.
Shredding
Day 2 - 6
Explore world-class glaciated terrain, with each day’s objective adapted to the group and the conditions to make the most of every outing.
Departure
DAY 7
On the final day, we’ll break up camp before flying out by helicopter and saying our goodbyes.
