EVEREST BASE CAMP & TWO PASSES
A Bucketlist Trip Filled with Culture, History and Views
Sir Edmund Hillary stood on top of the world in 1953, but exploratory trips to Sagamartha, Everest’s Nepalese name, began much earlier, in 1921. We will walk in the footsteps of these explorers as we trek our way over higher than 5,000m into Nepal’s First National Park, under the watchful eye of the world’s highest peaks.
This trip is designed to take in more than just Everest. We will spend 21 days circumnavigating Sagamartha National Park. We start our tour in Kathmandu, where we will apply for our trekking permits and see the ancient sights this city has to offer. Hinduy temples, Buddhist Stupas and more make this an adventure packed day. Our third day starts with an early flight to Lukla where our trek begins. Over the next two and a half weeks we will ascend three different passes, all over 5.000m in height, and take in the sights of the mighty Himalaya. Our nights on the trail will be spent in tea Houses, rustic lodges with local cuisine like Dal Bhat.
Fall is the best time for this Trek as the day time temperatures are comfortable and the monsoons have fully resided and . The air is crisp and clear and the views of the peaks are at their best. Spring is also a great time for this trek as winter has subsided and the monsoons have not arrived.
