Did you know that only about half of the Lyngen Alps are accessible by vehicle?  The rest can only be accessed via boat.  Since helicopter access is highly restricted in Norway, traveling by boat is the best way to get to those remote locations. Not only can the boat help you with access, it can also be used to enhance logistics. Complete a traverse across the alps to the ocean, have the boat pick you up.  Avoid ferry schedules and time restrictions, access islands and start your day hours before the road traffic arrives.  This RIB boat can travel up to 64 knots and is an exciting activity on its own.  You will not regret adding this option to at least 1 day of your trip.
